Obituary of Thomas Jones Huey

Mr. Thomas Jones Huey, III, a resident of Tampa, Florida, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018. He was sixty-four years old. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 14, 2018, from Skipperville United Methodist Church with Reverend Freddie McCain and Reverend Bradley Chamblee officiating. Interment will follow in Skipperville Community Cemetery with Full Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the church Friday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Mr. Huey was born February 22, 1954 in Montgomery, Alabama. He was a 1975 graduate of United States Military Academy at West Point and served in the United States Army from 1975 until his retirement in 1983. Following his military service, he worked for various companies. He was a devoted Scout Master and a Sunday School Teacher. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Marie Crawford; his father, Thomas Jones Huey, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Marian L. “Lindy” Huey of Tampa, Florida; his mother, Mary Faye Davis Huey of Skipperville; his daughter, Rachel Leigh Rojas (Bryce) of Concord, California; two grandchildren, Jaxon Reed Rojas and Brooklyn Grace Rojas; two sisters, Mary Jenifer Huey of Knoxville, Tennessee and Jane Elizabeth Trambley (Adam) of Warren, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Skipperville Community Cemetery, 3489 County Road 50, Skipperville, Alabama 36374; or to your favorite charity.
