Mr. Billy Joe Bagwell, age 74, of Dothan, died Saturday, May 10 2014, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Mr. Bagwell was born September 7, 1939 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Tillman D. Bagwell and Mamie Lou Johnson Bagwell. He lived most of his childhood years in Ozark. Mr. Bagwell served in the United States Navy for seventeen years, receiving the Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Defense Metal. He then served for twenty years with the United States Army National Guard until his retirement. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bagwell was preceded in death by his twin brother, Bobby Gene Bagwell.
Survivors include a cousin and his wife, Larry and Barbara Pittman of Ozark.
