Obituary of Marie Segars Heath

Mrs. Marie Segars Heath, age 80, of Ozark, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 9, 2014, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in the chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Harold Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.
Mrs. Heath was born May 16, 1933 in Dale County to the late Corbitt D. Segars and Ella Johnson Segars. She worked as a registered nurse with Dale Medical Center for over twenty years until her medical retirement. She was an outside person who enjoyed gardening and fishing. She loved her animals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lynard Heath; and one brother, Eugene Segars.
Survivors include one son, James Michael “Mike” Heath of Ozark;
three grandchildren, Ami Riley and husband, Mark, of Dothan, Robyn Mathison and husband, Will, of Midland City, Lindsey Rushing and husband, Tray, of Midland City;
five great grandchildren, Lanie Heath, Libby Claire Rushing, Callie Mathison, Laurie Mathison, Heath Mathison;
one sister, Eunice Hagler of Skipperville;
one brother and sister-in-law, Bennie and Katie Segars of Skipperville.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
