Obituary of Jack D. Littlefield

Mr. Jack Dempsey “Demp” Littlefield, age 87, of Ozark, died early Thursday morning, February 25, 2016, in Flowers Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday, February 27, 2016, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Roger Stone and Reverend Chris Woodall officiating. Interment will follow in Southside Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Saturday morning from 9:30 A. M. until service time.
Mr. Littlefield was born February 29, 1928 in Barbour County, Alabama to the late John Littlefield and Nora Elizabeth McKnight Littlefield. He served in the United States Army from 1945 until 1947. He worked with Ashland, Inc. as a supervisor with road paving crews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lola Lippelman and Ruby Brown; and eight brothers, Harvey, Huey, Henry C., Jack, Sam, Ralph, J. R., and Don Littlefield.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Price Littlefield of Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Richard Lawson of Destin, Florida; two sons and daughters-in-law, George and Wanda Williams of Ozark, Johnny and June Williams of Birmingham; six grandchildren, Heidi Gulledge, Kellie Williams, Heath Williams, Andrew Lawson, Chase Williams, and Brooke Tucker; one sister, Fannie Merle Walker of Troy. Three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pinckard Baptist Church Building Fund; P. O. Box 188; Pinckard, Alabama 36371.
