Obituary of Barbara Ann Herman Eheman

Mrs. Barbara Ann Herman Eheman, age 79, of Newville, died Friday, February 7, 2014, in UAB Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Eheman will be held at 2:00 P. M. Sunday, February 9, 2014, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Floyd Ingram officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Interment will be at a later date in Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Mrs. Eheman was born May 1, 1934 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late John Oliver Herman and Jean Vano Herman. She lived in Hollywood, Florida for thirty-five years before moving to Ozark in 1997. She attended Stonebridge Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Martin Eheman. Survivors include one sister, Jean Dawley of Palm Springs, FL; four nieces, Laura and Robert Thoms of Ariton, Donna and Tim Senn of Newville, Wendy and Chuck Williams of Lake Worth, FL, Barbara and Jimmy Piersante of Boynton Beach, FL; two nephews, Rick and Mary Dawley of Enterprise, John Dawley of Lake Worth, FL; grandson, Timothy Smith of Hollywood, FL; a host of great nieces and nephews; life-long friend, Diana Lindsey of Ozark; her church family of Stonebridge Church of God in Ozark; and her new found friends at Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the Ladies Ministry, Stonebridge Church of God, 689 Skipperville Road, Ozark, Alabama 36360. Service Information
