Mr. James Harold Smith, a resident of Skipperville, died early Tuesday morning, August 7, 2018, at his home. He was fifty-six years old.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Thursday, August 9, 2018, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Charles Gann officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Wednesday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P.M.
Mr. Smith was born March 7, 1962 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Billy Ray Smith and Becky Marie Fulford Smith. He worked for many years as a police officer.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Miller Smith; son, BJ Smith (Alicia); daughter, Misty Smith (Rickey Whitehead); son, Josh Smith; grandchildren, Hunter Whitehead, Jaxon Whitehead, Brayden Whitehead, Qua McLeod, Carter Smith, Bryce Smith and Cooper Smith; sister, Michelle Potter (Paul); brother, Larry Smith; sister-in-law, Karen Johnson (Rodney); sister-in-law, Sue Barefield (Gene); several nieces and nephews.
