Obituary of Ann Elizabeth Price Anderson

Mrs. Ann Elizabeth Price Anderson, age 81, of Ozark, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, in Dale Medical Center with family at her side. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Anderson was born September 27, 1931, in Pike County, Alabama to the late Charles Guthrie Price and Gussie Mae Griffin Price. Upon graduating Troy High School in 1950 Ann moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana and worked for a number of years in the administrative office of Dalton’s Department Store. She returned to Ozark in 1955 where she raised her family and worked in the office of Barkett Stores until her retirement in 1984. She was an avid reader who enjoyed walking, listening to music, spending time with family and taking care of her animals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Barkett Spano and Merlie Price Shinn; five brothers, Raymond Price, Holman Price, Hubert Price, Hubbert Price, and Glenn Price. Survivors include one daughter, Marsha Synnott of Tequesta, Florida; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Donna Anderson of Troy; five grandchildren, Christine Bonsante and her husband Joseph, Brett Frantz, Austin Frantz all of Florida, Ashley Brown and her husband Eric Brown, Jr. of Kentucky, and Dakota Anderson of Troy; one sister and brother-in-law, Ruth Price Clouse and her husband Jimmy of Ozark; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Meditation Garden at the First United Methodist Church of Ozark, 167 East Broad Street, Ozark, AL 36360. Service Information
