Obituary of Bobby Bernard Walker

Mr. Bobby Bernard Walker, age 84, of Dothan, died Sunday, June 9, 2013, in Flowers Hospital. Funeral services will be graveside at 2:00 P. M. on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Reverend Paul Thompson and Reverend Stan Humphries officiating. Interment will follow with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:30 P. M. until time to depart for the graveside service. Mr. Walker was born August 16, 1928 in Dale County. He served in the United States Navy, and later owned and operated Walker’s Grocery and Walker’s Wholesale Furniture in Ozark for many years. Mr. Walker moved to Dothan in 2008 and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Solan Reid Walker and Ola Ann Scarborough Walker; his son, Clayton Reid Walker; two sisters and three brothers. Survivors include his wife, Dee Walker of Dothan; two daughters and one son-in-law, Cassandra (Bobbie Ann) Shepard of Ozark, Wanda and Donny Huguley of Coffee Springs; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and April Walker of Youngstown, Florida; one brother, Woodfin Walker of Tallahassee, Florida; five grandchildren, Justin Pridgen (Alisa), Karla Howell (Hunter), Amy Wise (Dustin), Clayton Walker, and Colter Trueblood. Six great grandchildren, five step children, twenty-four step grandchildren, and twenty-eight step great grandchildren also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Seniors Ministry, 901 Montezuma Avenue, Dothan, Alabama 36303. Service Information
