Obituary of Jeanelle Grimes Turner

Mrs. Mary Jeanelle Grimes Turner, 87, of Ozark, died Friday, March 15, 2013. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Monday, March 18, 2013, from Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark with Reverend Jim Hill and Reverend Tommy West officiating. Interment will follow in Beulah Cemetery, 1/4 mile inside the Fort Rucker gate from Ozark, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 12:30 P. M. until service time. Mrs. Turner was born April 4, 1925 in Ozark to the late Benjamin Tully Grimes and Ida Patterson Grimes. She graduated from Ozark High School and worked with Pea River Electric in Ozark until her retirement. Mrs. Turner was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Mack Turner; one son, Russell Allen Turner; and two brothers, Robert Grimes and Howard Grimes. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Turner Manwarring of Caryville, Florida; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Archie Wayne and Lynn Turner of Midland City, Larry M. Turner of Ozark, Creig Turner of Sugar Hill, Georgia, and Joel Turner of Murphy, North Carolina. Thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Resource Center, P. O. Box 1170, Dothan, Alabama 36302; or to The Gideons International, P. O. Box 291, Ozark, Alabama 36361.
