Obituary of Shirley Faye Glover Osborn

Mrs. Shirley Faye Glover Osborn, known to loved ones as "Memaw" went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 7, 2012, at her home surrounded by family and friends. Funeral services will be 2: 00 P. M. Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Campground Baptist Church with the Reverend Al Sonanstine and Reverend Randall Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the church from 12:30 P.M. until service time. A private burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Clayhatchee, with Holman Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Osborn was a member of Campground Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Osborn, parents Wiley and Dora Glover, a sister Syble Walker, brother Gene Glover and his wife Gussie. Mrs. Osborn was retired from Civil Service. She and her husband owned and operated Creative Ceramics in Ozark for thirteen years. After the passing of her husband she sold the business and volunteered her time and services to Campground Baptist Church, American Red Cross, The R.S.V.P and Wiregrass Hospice (Now Gentiva Hospice) and many remembered her as the "Flower Lady". Mrs. Osborn was a Master Gardener and loved working in her yard and enjoyed helping others with theirs. Survivors include two daughters, Pam Osborn Holmes, and Tamara Osborn Eland; four grandchildren, Maggie Martin, Zachary Barrett, Nicholas Holmes, and Bailey Eland, two great granddaughters, Abby and Anna; one sister, Audrey Andrews of Ozark; one brother and sister-in-law, Foy and Eloise Glover of Dothan. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Also Mrs. Osborn enjoyed a special relationship with Pam's fiance Mark Johnson and his children Zack and Mallory, The family has requested the omission of flowers so that contributions can be made to Campground Baptist Church Building Fund, 3898 East Andrews Avenue Ozark, Al. 36360.
