Mrs. Gussie Lillian Smith Walker Woodham, a resident of Ozark, went to be with her Heavenly Father on August 1, 2011 at the age of 99.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, August 3, 2011, from Asbury United Methodist Church with Reverend Rick Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Woodham's body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.
Mrs. Woodham was born March 14, 1912 in Dale County to Henry Morgan and Lola Dell Smith. Mrs. Woodham lived most of her life in Dale County. She was married to her late husbands, Walter Lee Walker in 1939 and Joseph Woodham in 1964.
Surviving relatives include three daughters, Lola Faye Ross, Enterprise, Anna Watson (Lavon) Ozark, Barbara Sommers, Richardson, Texas;
one sister, Evelyn Rush, Cape Coral, Florida;
one stepdaughter, Rebecca Durham, Dothan;
two stepsons, Daniel Woodham (Elaine), and Donald Woodham (Mignonette);
seven grandchildren, Anita Watson and Nancy Dorsey (Robbie) Ozark, Jason Watson (Dee Dee) Holtville, AL, Walter Ross (Lee Ming) San Antonio, Texas, Kenneth Ross (Dewanna) Toney, Alabama, Michael and Shannon Sommers, Richardson, Texas;
and ten great grandchildren.
