Obituary of Bobby Ray Hayes

Mr. Bobby Ray Hayes, age 69, of Skipperville, died Thursday, January 13, 2011, at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Sunday, January 16, 2011, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Harold Peters and Reverend Harry Circle officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Saturday. Mr. Hayes was born May 24, 1941 in Dickson County, Tennessee to the late Audra and Sindie Lee Ferrell Hayes. He was self-employed, owning two automobile businesses in Detroit, Michigan prior to moving to Alabama in 1981. He was employed with the oil industry until his retirement from Davis Oil in Dothan. Mr. Hayes enjoyed Tennessee football and being outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Ruth Hayes of Skipperville; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Leanne and Todd Snell of Ariton, Kim and Terry Joiner of Birmingham; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Gina Hayes of Valrico, Florida, Pat and Alice Hayes of Clarksville, Tennessee; one sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Dickie Burris of Nashville, Tennessee; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Edna Hayes of Clarksville, Tennessee, Jack and Jeanne Hayes of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and six grandchildren.
