Obituary of Carolyn Davis

Mrs. Carolyn Louise English Davis, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was sixty-nine years old and a resident of Calera, Alabama.

Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 29, 2019, from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Paul Armstrong and Reverend James Bell officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends in the church Monday from 12:00 Noon until service time.

Mrs. Davis was born July 31, 1949 in Brundidge, Alabama to the late Lester and Louise Hyatt English. She worked with Shelby Baptist Medical Center for many years.  Mrs. Davis was a member of Journey Baptist Church.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by two brothers, Travis English and Sam English as well as a grandson, Timothy Turman. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, James Raymond Davis of Calera, Alabama; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Louise and Bill Hayes of Eclectic, Alabama; one son, Jason Randall Davis of Columbiana, Alabama;  one grandson, Randy Turman (Sarah); one great grandson, Timothy Turman; one sister, Patricia Ann Morris of Ozark, Alabama; four brothers, Thomas English, Bobby English and Curtis English all of Ozark, Keith English of Biloxi, Mississippi. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Davis had a tremendous love for people, especially her family and friends. Her immediate family sincerely loves and appreciates those who were by her bedside as she went home.
