Obituary of Scott Tyler

Please share a memory of Scott to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Michael Scott Tyler, a resident of Ozark, went home to his Heavenly Father on June 8, 2019, with his family by his side. Scott fought a brave fight for three years to keep cancer at bay; never once faltering in his faith. He was 50 years old and the owner and operator of Alabama Drug and Alcohol Testing.

Memorial services with Masonic Rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at the First United Methodist Church of Ozark in the Family Life Center with Reverend Bobbi Lassiter and Reverend Dr. Jason Thrower officiating, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 9:30 A.M. until service time.

Scott was the son of Judy Irving (Las Vegas) and David and Sally Tyler (Birmingham). Other survivors include his brother, Todd Tyler (Ozark), his aunt and uncle, Angela and Bill DeLoney (Dothan), aunt, Janet Hibbs (Atlanta) and nephew, Austin Tyler (Ozark).  He was preceded in death by his wife Lynn, Mac Irving (stepfather), Alex and Lurlene Dean (maternal grandparents), Celia Tyler (paternal grandmother) and his beloved boxers (Roxy, Bully, Bella and Bama).

Scott was a huge believer in giving and has stated many times, “You can’t out give God”. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you give in remembrance to your favorite charity as a tribute to this brave, compassionate, and faithful man.
