Obituary of Larry Lee Ellis, Sr.

Mr. Larry Lee “Levi” Ellis, Sr., a resident of Daleville, died Thursday, June 20, 2019. He was 63 years old.

Funeral services for Mr. Ellis will be held 11:00 A.M.  Tuesday, June 25, 2019 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Charles Goldsmith officiating. Interment will follow in Newton  City Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends Tuesday morning at the funeral home in Ozark from 10:00 A.M. until service time.

Mr. Ellis was born April 28, 1956 in New Brockton, Alabama to the late Eulon Ellis and Annie Laura Dunn Ellis.  He loved working on cars and trucks, fishing and hunting.  Mr. Ellis attended Moore’s Chapel Assembly of God Church in Newton. He was an avid Alabama fan. Mr. Ellis worked in the construction business. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Ann Spencer.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Carol Thomas Ellis of Daleville; three sons, Larry Lee Ellis, Jr. of Daleville, William Kristopher Ellis of Daleville, and Michael David (Brandie) Ellis of Enterprise; daughter in-law, Michelle Tenalio of North Fort Myers, Florida; one brother, William Ellis (Faye) of Taylor; three grandchildren, Silence Marie Ellis, and Layli Ruth Stamp of North Fort Myers, Florida and Haley Mia Ellis of Enterprise.
