Obituary of Billy C. Miller
Mr. Billy Charles Miller, 78, of Ozark, died peacefully with his family by his side Thursday, August 1, 2019.
As per Billy’s wishes there will be no public services.
Mr. Miller was born November 6, 1940 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Charlie Preston Miller and Jencie Irene Cobb Miller. In 1972 he and co-owner, Royce Walker, founded Parts and Service in Ozark which he owned and operated for twenty-three years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Ozark and was active on several committees. Billy was an avid sportsman and loved Auburn football. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Charles Taylor Mitchell; and his brother, James Earl Miller.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Martha Chancey Miller of Ozark; two daughters, Patti Davis (Terry) and Ami Miller all of Ozark; two grandsons, Justin Davis (Danielle) of Hammond, Louisiana and Terry Davis, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; two great grandchildren, Grayson Davis and Olivia Davis; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shannon and Mike Gill, several nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Larry Brennan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 2926 Andrews Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360; or to Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center, 126 Hospital Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
