Obituary of Allen LaWayne Pinyan
Mr. Allen LaWayne “Al” Pinyan, 80, of the Bagwell Crossroads Community of Ozark, died Thursday, October 24, 2019, at his home.
A graveside memorial service for Mr. Pinyan will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 27, 2019, in Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jason Miller officiating. Interment will follow with full Masonic Rites, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Sunday in the church from 1:00 P.M. until time for the graveside service.
Mr. Pinyan was born September 3, 1939 in Blount County, Alabama to the late Henry Allen Pinyan and Mable Irene Horsley Pinyan. He served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division for three years. Following his military service he met and married Sandra Cain. Mr. Pinyan was of the Baptist Faith, an avid Alabama fan, and enjoyed fishing. He could build or repair anything. He worked with Farley Nuclear Plant as a master welder for twenty-five years and retired from L3 Technology at Fort Rucker as an aircraft mechanic. Mr. Pinyan was an active member of Claybank Masonic Lodge 908. Al loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; he was the best husband, father and grandfather in the world.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Cain Pinyan of Ozark; one daughter, Donna Pinyan of Ozark; three sons and daughters-in-law, Coley and Stephanie Pinyan of Skipperville; Richard and Leanne Pinyan of Ozark; Phillip and Dana Pinyan of Dothan; seven grandchildren, Erin Wright (Clint) of Headland, Trevor Cole Pinyan of Ozark, Phillip Michael Pinyan of Dothan, Caleb Pinyan (Sarah) of Dothan, Brooke Pinyan of Dothan, Maegan Pinyan of Dothan, and Joshua Pinyan of Dothan; three great grandchildren, Elin Wright, Easton Wright, and Benji Pinyan; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Edith Voss (Gene) of Georgia, Sherry Whitworth (Johnny) of Birmingham; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill Pinyan (Patricia) of Oneonta, Alabama, Jimmy Pinyan (Sue) of Huntsville, Alabama; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathy Cain Cook (Tommy) of Skipperville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
