I Knew "junior" Cheatwood as we called him when he was a little boy in Sandy Hook Ky. Both of us were about 6 years old at the time which was 1948 or 49. We lived a few houses down the street and my brother and I would play with him and his cousin, Larry Owens who I think also lived with some of his Grandfather's (Frank Prince) children. Neither of us knew at that time that we would both end up as career soldiers and serve in the Vietnam war. I also moved away from Sandy Hook at an early age and lost touch with "Junior" my childhood friend. I'm sure that all of you take great pride in his outstanding service to his country. As the unknown poet said : "Freedom has a taste to those that fought for it that the protected will never know." Rest in peace my old friend.
