Obituary of Merion Willis Hataway

Ms. Merion Othine Willis Hataway, a resident of Newton, died Tuesday, July 21, 2020, in Dale Medical Center. She was 91 years old. Private services for Mrs. Hataway will be held at a later date. Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark has been entrusted with arrangements. Ms. Hataway was born April 15, 1929 in Covington County, Alabama to the late Lloyd Willis and Gray Belcher Willis. She was a life-long resident of Newton, Alabama and a member of Lockhart Primitive Baptist Church. She loved her Saviour, family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Randy Wilson Hataway and her son-in-law, Clark Loftin. Survivors include her children, Rick Hataway (Emily), Terry Hataway, Sherry Hataway Loftin, Janet Hataway Coker (Jim), and Kevin Hataway. Seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center, 126 Hospital Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
