Obituary of Thomas Kenyon Rose

Dr. Thomas Kenyon Rose, MD, a resident of Ozark, died Tuesday, August 4, 2020, in Flowers Hospital. He was 60 years old. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public services at this time. However, condolences may be expressed at www.HolmanFuneralHome.com Dr. Rose was born September 15, 1959 in Monroe County, Wisconsin to the late John Arthur Rose and Mary Lou Kenyon Rose. This is the last conversation between Caroljean and Thomas. When I am old, do not pray that I have a recovery, for there is no recovery to a body that is used up and has finished its mission. Instead, pray for a timely death for me and that I helped everyone I was supposed to, loved everyone I was supposed to, and did everything I was supposed to. Remember me when my body was young and vibrant, and please remember my mind. As I grew my outlook changed, and that too, probably began to fail. So remember the wise words I used, but do me the honor of forgetting any times I slipped from grace. I most likely accomplished things, and would love for you to be so kind as to share the memory. Remember my failures as well. For as many accomplishments, I had twice as many or more failures, and that is where I earned the right to choose a different way. I will miss you along with so many I was raised with, but I am not afraid of dying, not even now. Out of all the prayers you say for me, do not pray I recover from old age, instead, be thankful I made it, and had this much time to spend with you. Please learn to let me go and carry on. Survivors include his wife, Caroljean Harwell Rose; daughter, Samantha Jean Moten (Derek); two grandsons, Zachary Nitschmar and Keaton McDonald; and his father-in-law, Gary Harwell.
