Mrs. Betty Joyce Teal Ritter, a resident of Enterprise, died Thursday, January 28, 2021, in Medical Center Enterprise. She was 72 years old. Funeral services for Mrs. Ritter will be graveside 11:00 A. M. Saturday, January 30, 2021, from Teal Family Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Earles officiating, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P. M. Mrs. Ritter was born February 26, 1948 in Barbour County, Alabama to the late Jack C. Teal and Lanell Louise McLendon Teal. She worked with Civil Service at Fort Rucker until her retirement in 2004. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Enterprise. Mrs. Ritter loved worshiping the Lord and working in her flower gardens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Sherman Ritter. Survivors include her children; James M. Ritter II (Trudy), Josh S. Ritter (Nancy), Jennifer Chaffin (Scot); nine grandchildren, Emily Ritter, Madison Ritter, Joshua Helms, Joy Ritter, Peyton Helms, Braden Ritter, Brooke Chaffin, Chris Chaffin and Jordan Chaffin; one sister, Alice Gay (Donnie); two brothers, Gene Teal (Winelle) and Dwight Teal (Ruthie); special friends, Doug Schwart and Natasha Stinson.
