Mr. Jerry Willoughby, a resident of the Rocky Head Community of Ariton, died early Friday morning, February 5, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, Alabama. He was 77 years old. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 8, 2021, from Rocky Head Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Weed and Reverend Joe Underwood officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Monday in the church from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Mr. Willoughby was born August 8, 1943 in Ariton, Alabama to the late Jack Morris Willoughby and Kathleen Prestwood Willoughby. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Willoughby worked with the Kimberly Clark Corporation for 30 years until his retirement. Currently he worked with Tractor Supply in Ozark. He was a member of Rocky Head Baptist Church and the Dale County Chapter of Gideons International, serving as the Chaplain. Jerry was an avid beekeeper and a licensed General Aviation Pilot. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Morris Willoughly. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Henderson Willoughby of Ariton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Tonya Willoughby of Prattville, Alabama and Darrin and Rifki Willoughby or Orlando, Florida; one sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Tommy Smith of New Brockton, Alabama; grandchildren, Carly Braise (Chris), Lucas Willoughby, Gage Parr, Heath Danford (Matlei), Eric Parrett, Jeff Parrett and Jess Danford; great grandchildren, Caroline Braise and Bella Danford. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Gideons International, P. O. Box 291, Ozark, Alabama 36361.
