Obituary of David Edwin Jallen

Mr. David Edwin Jallen, a resident of Ozark, died Monday, February 15, 2021, in Dale Medical Center. He was 75 years old. A memorial service for Mr. Jallen will be held at a later date. Mr. Jallen was born October 6, 1945 in Bemidji, Minnesota to the late Edwin John Jallen and Hazel Eviji Jallen. He received a degree in University Studies from North Dakota State University and was a Russian translator. Mr. Jallen served in the United States Air Force and the United States Army. He later worked as a flight instructor at Fort Rucker until his retirement. He loved horses, gliding and fishing at Lake Tholocco (Fort Rucker). Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Paulette Johnson Jallen; two daughters, Carolyn Phinney (Shawn) and Jennifer Kopp (Peter Michael); four grandchildren, Caitlin Phinney, Jeremiyah Phinney, Lauren Phinney and Isabelle Kopp; two sisters, Mary Beth Jallen and Susan Simonson; one brother, Tim Jallen; two brothers-in-law, Roger Johnson and Dennis Johnson; and his canine friend, Mickey.
