Larry Wells posted a condolence

My condolences to the Jimmy Clouse family. He was our scout leader in the 1st United Methodist’s Scout Troop 16. Because he worked late he sent the scouts ahead to a campground near Barnes Crossing. One camping trip I cooked dinner for him for my 1st class badge requirement. At 17, I was assistant scout leader under him. Many happy memories of Jimmy Clouse and his late wife Ruth. - Larry Wells

My friends Kay and Steve, my most sincere condolences to you both, and to your families. Losing a parent is a hard blow, because we are all still children in our memories of them. I love you guys, Michael Allen

Mr and Mrs Clouse was the kindest and most welcoming to us moving here to Ozark. It was an honor to know them and for that we are forever blessed. God Bless you Clouse family. Continue to proudly carry the torch. With love-Howard & Laura Bruce

Our sincerest sympathies go to Steve, Kay, and the entire Clouse family. To have lost both Ruth and Jimmy in such a short time makes the loss feel even more enormous. Our family possesses numerous of the little wooden crosses Jimmy would hand out (always, apparently, having some in his trouser pockets) to express his love for his fellow man. He surely left his mark on this world, and perhaps that is the best measure of a good man.

The Kelley Family will always remember Jimmy as a special old southern gentleman. He and Ruth were great friends to my in-laws, Erin and Jim Kelley, and to myself and James and our children. I never meet him without getting a hug and kiss on the cheek. He will live forever within me.

Words can not express our feelings of Jimmy over the years. As my scout master to a member of the Bank board together we had lots of good times together. Jimmy always called for Judy's birthday and was very supportive over the years. Jimmy will be missed by many people in Ozark and all around the State as he has touched their life over his lifetime. I know his soul is resting with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is reunited with all his loved ones and friends that have preceded him. We thank God for the life of James C. "Jimmy" Clouse.

Barb and I will forever cherish the memories of our next-door neighbor Jimmy Clouse. We both enjoyed visiting Jimmy and Miss Ruth in their lovely home on Broad Street. I especially enjoyed sitting on their front porch "counting cars" with Jimmy. We saw Jimmy as the ultimate example of a good neighbor and the epitome of a Southern gentleman. I always felt that Jimmy was one of Ozark's most devoted citizens. We were blessed to have him as a loving friend. He will be missed but fondly remembered. Dan and Barb Petrosky
