Mrs. Kathy Elizabeth Cain Cook, a resident of Skipperville, Alabama, died Friday, March 5, 2021, in Dale Medical Center. She was 67 years old. Funeral services for Mrs. Cook will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 9, 2021, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark with Reverend Tim Sewell officiating. Interment will follow in Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home in Ozark from 12:30 P.M. until service time. Mrs. Cook was born July 1, 1953 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Vernon Coley Cain and Frances Bagwell Cain. She graduated from Carroll High School and Wallace Community College school of cosmetology. She worked with her mother in Frances’s Beauty Shop in Ozark until her mother retired and then ran the shop for a total of 38 years. She was a member of Chalkhead Baptist Church. Kathy was an avid Alabama and Atlanta Braves fan. She enjoyed fishing and hunting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Doug Cook and Al Pinyan. Survivors include her husband, Tommy Cook of Skipperville; one sister, Sandy Pinyan of Ozark; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Don and Linda Cook of Dothan and Clara Cook of Skipperville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 495 County Road 35, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
