Obituary of Patsy Ann Skeen

Mrs. Patsy Ann Winslow Skeen, a resident of Dothan, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021, in Southeast Health Medical Center. She was 80 years old. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 22, 2021, from Mount Carmel United Methodist Church with Reverend Paul McVay officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the church Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Mrs. Skeen was born March 9, 1941 in Highlandville, Missouri to the late Oscar Edmund Winslow and Ina Belle Dye Winslow. She was a long-time member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and a loving and devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Skeen was known for humor and her writing ability. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrea Beth Skeen; three sisters and four brothers. Survivors include her husband, Vernon Skeen of Dothan; two sons, Reverend Tom Skeen (Jane) of Notasulga and Philip Skeen (Jennifer) of Dothan; grandchildren, Cara Hinckley (Patrick), Jennifer Rexer (Theron), Cameron Blondheim (Blaire), Eliana Skeen, Elijah Oliver and Alexis Oliver. Eight great-grandchildren also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Mount Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Mrs. Kate Dossett, 165 Private Road 1569, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
