Ms. Gail Spivey, a resident of Ozark, died Saturday morning, May 8, 2021, in a Dothan Hospital. She was 65 years old. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 11, 2021, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Brandon Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Monday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Ms. Spivey was born March 15, 1956 in Geneva, Alabama to the late Millard Curry Spivey and Delphine Johnson Spivey. She had lived in the Skipperville area since she was twelve years old and was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. She worked with the U. S. Postal Service from June of 1985, serving as Postmaster in Coffee Springs, Lexington and Newton, Alabama and a Supervisor at Ozark in charge of several Alabama cities. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Adam D. and Crystal Segars of the Bertha Community; one sister, Catherine Bass (Steve) of Abbeville; one brother, Darrell Spivey (Peggy) of Ozark; two grandchildren; Hanna Segars and Hunter Segars; nieces, Dawn Blalock (Chris) and Karen Barefoot (Rusty); nephew, Matthew Spivey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGhee Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36111.
