Mr. W. R. “Buck” Turner, a resident of Ozark, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021, in Dale Medical Center. He was 83 years old. Funeral services for Mr. Turner will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 21, 2021, in the Ozark Civic Center. Adrian Holman will be delivering the family eulogy with Reverend Tim Sewell officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. Mask will be required for entry into the Ozark Civic Center. Mr. Turner was born September 14, 1937 to the late Lloyd Needham Turner and Lois Money Turner. He was owner/operator of W. R. Turner Logging Company in Ozark and involved in the timber industry for over 67 years. He attended Morgan Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Halley and two brothers, Frankie O’Neal Turner and David Lee Turner. Survivors include his wife, Helen Smith Turner of Ozark; two daughters, Tina Carter (Mike) of Montgomery and Amy Hume` of Ozark; one son, Victor Turner (Donna) of Ozark; three grandchildren, Mason Turner, Tristan Turner and Quint Hume`; two brothers, Lloyd Turner (Shirley) of Edwin, and Jessie Louis Turner (Stephanie) of Atlanta; four sisters, Maudie Starling of Abbeville, Marie Strevey of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Mary Ann Gachet of Skipperville and Dorothy Marcum (James) of Worthington, Ohio; and Savage the Cat. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
