Obituary of Brandon Ashle Shaw

Mr. Brandon Ashley Shaw, a resident of Ozark, AL, left his earthly home on August 20, 2021, after a lengthy illness with Covid-19. He was 36 years old. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time when it is safer to have friends and family gather in his honor. Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark will be handling the arrangements. Brandon was born on November 27, 1984 in Dothan, AL to James Anthony “Tony” Shaw of Ozark and Amy Michelle Aplin Shaw Lloyd of Newton and Ohio. Brandon attended Carroll High School in Ozark. He and Stephanie Battise wed in 2001 and to them a baby girl was born, Ashleigh; who was the twinkle in her daddy's eye! Brandon married Brittaney Dillard on May 28, 2015. Brandon enjoyed gaming and loved animals, especially his dogs. Brandon was family-oriented and loved spending time with them. He was a born-again Christian and was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Ozark. Brandon worked as an over-the-road truck driver for several years and was working as a dispatcher for Swift Transportation in the Brundidge office. His administration and co-workers admired and enjoyed being around him with his work ethic and great personality. Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Helen Rae George Shaw from Columbus, MS and Ozark, AL; maternal grandparents, Sue Sellers Aplin and Fred Aplin Sr. from Laurel, MS and Newton, AL. Survivors include his wife, Brittaney Dillard Shaw; one daughter, Ashleigh Shaw (Chris); Dad, Tony Shaw (Leah); Mom, Amy Aplin Lloyd (Tom); Papaw, Charles Shaw (Pat); two sisters, Aleesa Shaw of Wisconsin and Storm Lloyd of Ohio; two brothers, James Shaw and Michael Kaye (Jamie) of Ohio. Several stepbrothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins also survive.
