Mrs. Leota Snell Miller, a resident of Ozark, passed away early Saturday morning, September 11, 2021, in Dale Medical Center. She is now safe in the arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior. She was 85 years old. The family will have a Celebration of Life ceremony at a later date. However, condolences may be expressed at www.HolmanFuneralHome.com Mrs. Miller was born February 24, 1936 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Horace Snell and Ruby Spivey Snell. She loved her family and friends, but most of all she loved the Lord. She was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church of Ozark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Cephus Jackson (“CJ”) Ray and Glenn Miller; a son Martin Timothy (“Timmy”) Ray; and two brothers, Horace Snell Jr. and Michael Snell. Survivors include her son Jackie (Sue) Ray of North Carolina; seven sisters, Jean Griggs, Delane Blackburn, Martha Burroughs, Betty Cochran, June Smith, Wanda (Larry) Wright, and Melba (Hal) Cox; three grandchildren, Toni (Jason) Woodham, Keri (Robert) Pugh, and Hope Ray; three great-grandchildren, Hunter Ray-Gill, Bryson Pugh, and Maci Pugh; one sister-in-law, Vicki Snell; 22 nieces and nephews plus numerous cousins. Also surviving are her step-children, Casey (Joann) Miller and Rex Miller.
