Donald Curtis Steed, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday, October 20, 2021, in Dale Medical Center. He was 76 years old.
A graveside service was held for Mr. Steed in Fort Mitchell National Veterans Cemetery. Interment followed with Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.
Mr. Steed was born October 5, 1945 in Fulton County, Georgia to the late Curtis Steed and Carrie Lou Adams Steed. He served proudly in the United States Air Force which included service in Vietnam. He was discharged with the rank of Sergeant. Following his military service, he completed a wonderful career with Bowing Aircraft. Don loved his chocolate cake! He was a very giving man with a huge heart. “One thing is for sure, he would always call.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nan Steed. He is survived by one daughter, Krissy Wright of Ozark; and his family: Kay Hendry, Matthew Hendry, Sarah Hoyle and children. He had many people in his life that loved him like a grandpa: Bradley Arellano, Andrew Arellano and Eli’ayha Stallone.
