Mrs. Phyllis Jean Wood Lee, a resident of Ozark, died Sunday, November 7, 2021, at her home. She was 79 years old. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 10, 2021, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Dr. Jason Thrower officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Wednesday from 12:30 P.M. until service time. Mrs. Lee was born July 13, 1942 in Burkburnett, Texas to the late Lester Lee Wood and Effie Ruby Elliott Wood. She had worked in the office of the Dale County Probate Judge for forty years until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eldred Lamar Lee. Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Andrews (Bob); two sons, Lamar Lee (Helen) and Joseph Cade Lee all of Ozark; one brother, Jimmy Wood (Virginia) of Enterprise; five grandchildren, Robert Andrews (Heather), Kathryn Andrews, Adam Andrews, Aaron Andrews and Madison Williams; two great grandchildren, Livie Andrews and Adalyn Williams. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36111.
