Mrs. Mary Eleanor Adams Brackin Snell, a resident of the Asbury Community in Dale County, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in Dale Medical Center. She was 88 years old. A memorial service for Mrs. Snell will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 1, 2022, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark. Mrs. Snell was born June 3, 1933 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Emmett Adams and Willie Mae Horn Adams. She worked with Buffalo Rock for over twenty years until her retirement. She and her husband owned and operated the Asbury Hunting Club Restaurant for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Harry Brackin; her granddaughter, Haley Vance; and her brother Lamar Adams. Survivors include her husband, Adkins Snell of the Asbury Community; two sons, David Brackin (Angela) of Independence, Kansas and Phillip Brackin of Ozark; three step-children, Reggie Snell (Cindy) of the Asbury Community, Melony Snell of Ozark and Nancy Snell of the Asbury Community; grandchildren, Ashton Brackin, Madison Ward (Kendall) and Hayden Hubbard; great grandchildren, Luna Williams, Brayden Green, Mason Snell and Greysen Williams; special friends, Angie Brackin and Chip Peters. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center, 368 James Street, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
