Mr. Walter Webster “Walt” Ramsey, Jr., a resident of Ozark, died Monday, August 8, 2022. He was 82 years old. Funeral services for Mr. Ramsey will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 12, 2022, from the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Ozark with Reverend Chad Ingle officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Friday in the church from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Mr. Ramsey was born August 18, 1939 in Phenix City, Alabama and lived the majority of his life in Midland City. He worked as a construction contractor until his retirement. Mr. Ramsey loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Rusty Ramsey. Survivors include his life partner, Inge Rehn of Ozark; four daughters, Angela Ondorff (Chris) of Atlanta, Lynn Mote (Charles) of Tallassee, Sandra Brannon of Dothan and April Pederson of Kansas; one son, Jeff Ramsey (Sylvia) of Vero Beach; one sister, Nona Ramsey and one brother, Phillip Ramsey; his fur babies, Lady, LJ, Littlebit and Jinny. Thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, P. O. Box 2502, Ozark, Alabama 36361.
