Mr. Tex Ferrell Gill, a resident of Ozark, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022, at his home following a brief illness at the age of 77. A memorial service for Mr. Gill will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 23, 2022, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Ray Layton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Mr. Gill was born August 25, 1944 in Ozark, Alabama where he lived all of his life and retired from Daleville Cable office. Tex loved fishing and was an avid Alabama fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Webster Foy Gill; his mother, Johnnie Mae Cook Patton; one sister, Charlotte Gill Yocom; and one nephew, Bobby Brown. Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Julia Durall Gill of Ozark; four children, Ferrell Gill (Kay) of Daleville, Dawn Gill Densel (Fred) of Echo, Angel Gill Doran (Todd) of Navarre, Florida, Tex Webster Gill (Tracy) of South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Walker Gill, Waylon Gill, Brittany Thompson, Kristin Adams, Connor Gill, Tucker Gill and Brantley Gill; three great grandchildren; one nephew, Gil Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Assembly of God Church, 1628 County Road 71, Newton, Alabama 36352.
