Mrs. April Leanne Geist McCready, a resident of Ozark, died Thursday, September 1, 2022, at her home. She was 46 years old. Funeral services for Mrs. McCready will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 10, 2022, from Westwood Presbyterian Church in Dothan with Pastor David Temples and Pastor Lynn Miley officiating. Interment will be in Alabama National Veterans Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the church Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. April was born April 13, 1976 in Tacoma, Washington. She lived in many places around the world while her father served in the military. She married her husband August 19, 1995 and they traveled while he served in the Alabama Army National Guard. She loved swimming, gardening and especially music and art. April was very active in Ozark Presbyterian Church and Westwood Presbyterian Church. April adored her children. She was a devoted mother who raised and home-schooled her children in a Christian home. Survivors include her husband, Brian McCready of Ozark; eight children, Anne McCready-Ortiz (Alejandro) of Mountain Home, Idaho, Clara Beth McCready Daniel (Tyler) of Dothan, Margaret Lynn McCready of Dothan, Autumn Grace McCready of Ozark; James Niel McCready of Ozark, Jonathan Edwards Brian Stuart McCready of Dothan, Aaron Wallace McCready of Ozark, and Robert Andrew McCready of Ozark; her parents, Kimett Niel Geist and Janet Louise Termer Geist of Ozark; one sister, Josie Lynn Braddy (Craig) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one brother, Daniel Geist of Ozark.
