I just learned of Sara's death today, ten days afterward. She was the best example of a Renaissance woman that I have known. She had a great love of learning, including all of the arts. She was especially kind to me. May God's grace be with all of her family. Janet Hinton

When I remember Miss Sara, the first thing that comes to mind is her smile: genuine and lovely and as welcoming as a hug. Her kindness and the joy she took in her family was somehow both radiant and contagious. And as my family has shared our memories of her in the past few days, I've been struck again not only by her intellect and her talent, but by her love for her community and how deeply it ran; how she demonstrated that love in her generosity and her works. I was blessed to know her, and my thoughts are with the family and the community that she loved so very much.

I can't even begin to explain how much I loved Mrs. Sara! I was her night time caregiver and she made the nights quite interesting!! Mrs. Sara was a beautiful Southern Belle!! I will miss her terribly! There will never be another like her!! I love you and will miss you my beautiful Mrs. Sara!!

What an inspiration Miss Sara has been over the years to me and many other Ozark people and all our surrounding areas. I will always remember her gentle smile and caring heart for all people. Her family is very fortunate to have had her with them and as active as she was until now. We know her soul is resting with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is reunited with all her family that have preceded her. We thank God for the life of Sara Newton Carroll.
