Mr. Ashley Blankenship, a resident of Skipperville, died Saturday, December 24, 2022. He was 41 years old. Funeral services for Mr. Blankenship will be 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from Faith Worship Church in Clio with Reverend Lawrence Arnett officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Barbour County, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P. M. Flowers will be accepted. Mr. Blankenship was born November 18, 1981 in Dothan, Alabama. He graduated from G. W. Long High School in 2000 and worked with Great Southern Wood Products in Abbeville. Ashley loved sports and was an avid Alabama fan. Anyone that would like to wear Alabama attire to the visitation please do so. He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Blankenship and his brother, Johnny Blankenship. Survivors include his mother, Marie Tharpe Blankenship of Ozark; one sister, Melanie Hartzog (Tony) of Skipperville; one brother, Jason Blankenship of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; two uncles, Bryan Tharpe (Debbie) of Ozark and John Tharpe (Dianne) of Skipperville; two nephews, Justin Hartzog and Jordan Hartzog.
