I last saw my good friend, Vermell, in November on her 98th birthday. We had a great time together talking about her birthday, her two sons, and her grandchildren. She was having trouble remembering things and it was very frustrating to her. She loved her family so much and it was hard on her when she had trouble with her memory.
We talked a lot about what it was going to be like in Heaven. I read parts of the Bible to her about Heaven and the Lord Jesus Christ and she was happy to hear the word of God. She was really looking forward to seeing her Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, and was also looking forward to walking again. When she began to tire, we hugged each other and I told her I loved her.
I am so glad I was able to visit Vermell on her birthday this year. I had not been allowed to see her in the nursing home during the COVID-19 lock down.
I miss Vermell, but I am happy that she is where she wants to be...with her Lord and Saviour!
