Dear Cuz Gary, Our side of family just found out this past week that you had been given your wings and U are now in Heaven. This past week was week of Oct. 14, 2024. I am so sorry you left us like you did. All of your dear cousins, which we did not see each other often, are sending our condolence to your beautiful children and family. I know I was the oldest of all our Granddaddy Bill's Newsome's grandchild, we all loved you and do miss you being gone from earth. I cherish all of the years that I got to see all of you as you were growing up. Our Aunt Bea was the sweetest of all Granddaddy's children. You could have never had a better Mother. This is where you got all of your wonderful qualities which you expressed while here on earth. We pray your children carry this in your honor. I know you are enjoying being with Aunt Bea and your siblings. Sorry, we all did not have more family gatherings but U left us with many to cherish. Yesterday, Oct. 21th was my baby brother Wayne's birthday. He left us way too soon! God Be With All you Children,
Diana/Betty Jo/David.
We loved you and will be with all of our loved one sooner than we know.

Though it has been more than 45 years since I saw you last, I still remember our summers at Lake Eufala and the wonderful weekends our family had there. I will never forget you or your family. I was fortunate enough to see your father last summer when I was in Ozark for my 50th class reunion. I can tell, that you still had a great love of lakes and rivers. What great times!! Rest in peace old friend.

What a great friend Gary was to everyone when he met you. He was always welcoming when I met him and had conversations. I was one some of the River Trips over the years and no one enjoyed it more then Gary. May each of his family receive your comfort through your faith. We know his soul is resting with our Heavenly Father our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We thank God for the life of Gary Ray Tibbetts..

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your life. You have left my family and I some great memories. This world will not be the same without "BIG MAN GARY TIBBETS" walking around and making people smile. I'm going to miss the hell out of you my friend.
Make sure when you see our little buddy Fuqua you give him hell. Until we meet again....Love you Bro.

I considered Gary a lifelong friend of mine that I will always cherish in my heart. When I think of Gary I see his great "BIGGER" than Life Smile, Gary was a sweet, loving, caring and giving human being. We could all learn a little something from how Gary lived his life helping others. Until we meet again....

Gary was a man of greatness! The Big Man would walk into any room and you'd know his presence was there. He was the type of man to give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He cared for everyone and made damn sure everyone was having a good time around him. Always smiling, his deep voice and addictive laugh would make everyone feel at home. I'll miss you dearly Big Man, Rest Easy!

My sincere condolences go out to the family. I did not know Gary very well but we attended Carroll High School together. He seemed to to be a very nice guy and and seemed to have a smile on his face. I was just not friends with the people and groups that he hung out with. I tried to just blend into the background. So very sorry for this tragedy. Prayers going up for all.

I feel so lost right now because Gary ( Andre, big man, gentle giant ) was a very dear friend to me and my husband ever since the first time we met him at the Chattahoochee River. A bunch of people was sitting around the fire at our place and when Gary came up I remember saying lord I thought Eddie Hardwick ( high pockets ) was tall but I know you are taller than him and Eddie said yea just call him Andre. That's where we got that name. Gary we love you and we are going to miss you so much. You are gone but will never be forgotten. R.I.P. my dear friend ❤️. Diane & Ricky Harrison

I did not spend time with Gary personally but he meant a lot to my family. I would often see him at lunch while they shared pleasantries. Always a smile on his face. We love him and he will be missed.

Our prayers are with the family of Gary. I worked with Gary for 30 years at Pea River. He was a friend. He and my niece years ago invited me to a revival one night that they had been attending in Enterprise. It was that night in the church pew that he told us that he was saved. What comfort for family to know this and hold in their heart that you will be together again. Until then friend. You were a gentle giant. Sara Dunn and Curt Dunn
