Obituary of Angela Judah Wynn Leatherwood

Mrs. Angela Rebecca Judah Wynn Leatherwood, a resident of Ozark, passed away Sunday morning, November 26, 2023, at her home. She was 92 years old. Funeral services for Mrs. Leatherwood will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from Asbury United Methodist Church with Reverend Phil Craddock officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the church from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Mrs. Leatherwood was born May 24, 1931 in the Mabson Community of Ozark to the late James Oscar Judah and Willie Belle Snell Judah. Angela married USAF Tech Sgt. Thomas F. Wynn (later Special Agent OSI) in 1949 and moved as his assignments dictated. She subsequently lived in: Panama City, FL; Agana (now Hagatna) Guam; Mariana Is; Memphis, TN; San Antonio, TX; Montgomery, AL; Shibuya (Tokyo) Japan; Camp Springs, MD; Chofu (Tokyo) Japan; Satellite Beach, FL then Asbury, AL. She married Max Leatherwood in 2009 and they lived in Ozark. After her marriage to Max, she was a member of Stonebridge Church of God and alternately attending both churches. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas F. Wynn, Sr. (1998) and Max Douglas Leatherwood (2021); one daughter, Angela Patricia Wynn (2009); one sister, Lillian Kathleen Judah Leatherwood (2019); two brothers, Herman Oscar Judah (2013) and Samuel Durwood Judah (2022). Survivors include one son, Thomas F. Wynn, Jr. (Deborah) of Opelika; three grandchildren, Kathy Meetze (Kevin) of Milbrook, Hank Wynn (Carrie) of Huntsville and Rusty McIntosh (Sarah) of Louisville, Kentucky. Ten great grandchildren also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, P. O. Box 1170, Dothan, Alabama 36302.
