Obituary of Thomas Jefferson Jay III

Mr. Thomas Jefferson “T.J.” Jay III, a resident of Ozark, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023, in Dale Medical Center. He was 78 years old. In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned for Mr. Jay. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark has been entrusted with the arrangements. Mr. Jay was born March 10, 1945 in Andalusia, Alabama to the late Thomas Jefferson Jay Jr. and Pearl Dawkins Jay. He graduated from Andalusia High School and from Auburn University in 1967. Mr. Jay joined the Army and retired from the Alabama Army National Guard. T. J. worked with the Alabama Mental Health Department as a computer technician. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark. T. J. enjoyed everything about computers and was an avid Auburn fan. He loved his basset hound, Wesley. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jayne W. Jay of Ozark. The family would like to extend a special thanks to his caregiver, Angie Kelly.
