Obituary of Kristi Leigh Brauer

Ms. Kristi Leigh Hutto Brauer, a resident of Ozark, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday morning February 11, 2024 in Flowers Hospital. She was 55 years old. Funeral services for Ms. Brauer will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 15, 2024, from Chalkhead Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Woodham officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at Chalkhead Baptist Church Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P. M. Ms. Brauer was born December 5, 1968 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Johnny Rex Hutto and Sara Rebecca York Hutto. She was a 1987 graduate of Carroll High School and a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. She later married Robert Brauer and made her home in Ozark. Kristi worked with Manpower Staffing Solutions in Dothan as a Branch Manager for thirty years. Even though Kristi was an Auburn graduate, she was a die-hard Alabama fan. Kristi loved spending time at the beach, going to Disney World and on cruises with Claire and Coleman and walking with Mary Ann and Brad. She loved her cats, Mitten, Cotton, Mitzi and any stray she met. Kristi was an active member of Chalkhead Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday School, always kept the nursery and served on many committees. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ralph Brauer. Survivors include one daughter, Claire Brauer; one son, Coleman Brauer both of Ozark; one brother, Alan Hutto of Dothan; and special sister friends, Renee Dilbeck Swearingen, Mary Ann Wilson, Robyn Jordan and Angie Ganey.
