This obituary certainly captured the never boring life of my friend, Woody. He was always smiling and laughing and had some Ozark news to share. A stop at Hilboldt's store was a treat to catch up and have some laughs. Woody is and will always be missed.

Where does one begin to tell about a great friend and former employee for over 20 years. Woody was a great asset to Holman Funeral Home. I never heard him complain about odd work hours or long road trips. He did his job and made people feel better during one of the worse times of their lives; the loss of a loved one. He had fun working with us putting up fence, installing sprinkler systems, fishing for our company fish fry and numerous other things that made up our Company staff activities. Woody told stories of his days on the road with M. O. Carroll and his educational experiences at Marion. We know he is reunited with his friends and family that have preceded him to Heaven and is telling all of his stories, entertaining them once again. Woodrow Edward Hilboldt, Jr., we know you are with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Now Heaven has a new story teller. We thank God for the life of Woodrow Edward Hilboldt, Jr.

I am saddened to learn of Woody’s passing. I met him and Wayne Napier in 2021 when they came to Georgia for a burial. I enjoyed our visit and will always remember him. Prayers for his family in the days ahead.

Woody was a dirt road sport. The Lord broke the mold after he made him. I had the pleasure of traveling the country with him and laughted every mile of it. He loved his family and friends dearly. God bless you Woodrow.

Sad to learn of the passing of Woody. He was a little younger than me but we both attended CHS and shared some of the same friends. I remember him as a truly nice guy. So hard to find those these days it seems. I hope the Good Lord will grant Peace and Comfort to this family and friends. terry gamble
