Obituary of Bertie Taft Boyer

Mrs. Alberta Maybelle “Bertie” Taft Boyer, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday, May 8, 2024. She was 96 years old. Funeral services for Mrs. Boyer will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 13, 2024, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Larry Skipper officiating. Interment will be in Ewell Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mrs. Boyer was born February 28, 1928 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to the late Friemo Albert Taft and Rowena Blaine Taft. She met and married the late James Madison Boyer, Jr. while living in Iowa. Bertie loved to collect knick-knacks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Madison Boyer, Jr.; and her son, Jamie Eugene Boyer. She is survived by one son, B. G. Wolff of Ozark; one grandson, Chad Wolff (Shannon) of Ozark; two great grandchildren, Chase Wolff of Fort Polk, Louisiana and Skyler Wolff of Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Attn: Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
