Obituary of John Clinton Holman

Mr. John Clinton Holman was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on August 1, 1970 and died Wednesday July 3, 2024 in Fairhope, Alabama. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P. M. Friday, July 12, 2024, in the First United Methodist Church of Ozark, Alabama with Reverend Dr. Jason Thrower officiating. Burial will be in the Holman Family plot in Claybank Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the Church sanctuary Friday from 11:30 A.M. until service time. In his youth, he attended schools in Auburn, AL, Ozark, AL, and California. John loved sports, fishing and playing little league baseball. He graduated from Niceville High School in Niceville, FL in 1988. He attended Troy University for one year and joined the Coast Guard serving over three years. He was stationed in Kaua`i Hawaii for two years and received several letters for outstanding work in rescuing people who were in trouble in the water. After his tour of duty in the Coast Guard, John attended Auburn University, graduating with a degree in Criminal Justice. During his working career he was a salesman for several tool companies that made tools that were used on assembly lines in the automotive and industrial manufacturing business. He received commendations for top salesman several years. As an adult, John enjoyed playing golf, white water rafting in north Georgia and Auburn Football. He could tell you anything you wanted to know about what was happening with the Auburn football team. John was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in his thirties and had battled this disease until his death. He is survived by his parents, Charles and Diane Holman of Panama City Beach, FL, his sister, Pam Holman Kehoe of Atlanta, GA, and his brother, Robert "Bert" Holman of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, a niece, Zoe Kehoe of Auburn, AL and a nephew, Ben Kehoe of Atlanta, GA. The family requests that any memorials be made to the general fund of the First United Methodist Church, 167 East Broad Street, Ozark, AL 36360.
