So sorry to hear of Coach Skinner's passing. I had Coach Skinner for Alabama History 9th grade and U.S. History 11th grade. He was a great teacher. Used to watch him when during his basketball practices and attended the games. He was an amazing teacher and coach. I shall miss him.

Coach skinner was one of our regular customers @ The Salvation Army! He would come in & hang out & talk ! He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Stewart would also come in with peanuts to sell & talk to his Dad or either call to ask if he was still there. Hilda & Family our thoughts & prayers are with your Family.

Coach Skinner and I became good friends as the years rolled by. He coached my brother, Terry early in his career. After I graduated I moved from the area, but when I moved back several years later he was one of the first people I saw. Our friendship didn’t miss a beat. He took such good care of his son, Stuart. For a short time Stuart had Monday night dinners at his house, of course with some help from many friends. That is when I met Hilda. We became immediate friends. Coach, you will be missed! God bless his family.

I remember when Coach Skinner came to Carroll High School, everyone liked him from the start. He developed many many young men with his coaching style and calm deminer. Judy and I always looked forward to having lunch with him at the Dale Medical Center Cafeteria and catch up on the latest sports news and local news. We know Cecil's soul is resting with our Heavenly Father, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and Hilda, Stewart and all other family members will receive your comfort through your faith. We thank God for this life of Cecil A. Skinner, Jr.
