Obituary of William E. "Billy" Munn

Mr. William Edward “Billy” Munn, a resident of Ozark, died Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He was 63 years old. Funeral services for Mr. Munn will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 12, 2024, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Brian Presley officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home in Ozark from 9:00 A.M. until service time. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Lemonte, Will Lemonte, Jason Broom, Phillip Willis, Justin Walker and Loyd Jackson; honorary pallbearers will be Colton Munn and Ashley Munn; alternative pallbearers will be Keith Munn and Josh Reddicks. Mr. Munn was born July 20, 1961 and graduated from Carroll High School in 1979. Billy and his loving wife, Judy Gardner Munn celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary this past December. He was loved dearly by his grandchildren and best known as "Pa". He was a loving husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. He loved Alabama football, fishing, hunting, and riding his Harley. He was a car salesman for many years at different locations before deciding to go to college at EOCC for his A&P Mechanic license. He had been employed at M1 Support Services of Fort Rucker for nine years, where he was an aircraft mechanic at Hanchey Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Edward Munn and Linda French Munn of Ozark. He is survived by his wife, Judy Gardner Munn; son, William Ashley Munn (Tiffany); two daughters, Amy Reddicks (Josh) and Michelle Barentine; six grandchildren, Christopher Lemonte (Mary), Will Lemonte (Bre), Adam Raley, Sara Raley, William Colton Munn and Riley-Kate Munn; five great-grandchildren, Elijah and Ryder Lemonte, Caroline, Danielle and Jordan Lemonte all of Ozark; one sister, Tammy Johnson of Cusseta, Alabama; two brothers, Daniel and John Munn of Ozark; sisters-in-law, Kathy Jackson (Loyd) of Ozark, Tammy Danner (Stan) of Dothan and Marie Gardner (Mike) of Daleville; brothers-in-law, Randy Prescott (Teresa), Joey Prescott of Ozark and James Gardner of Daleville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36111.
