Mrs. Mary Frances Ketsdever Culbertson, a resident of Ozark, Alabama, died Saturday, December 7, 2024. She was 65 years old. In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned for Mrs. Culbertson. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark has been entrusted with the arrangements. Mrs. Culbertson was born July 6, 1959 in California. She was a graduate of Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and received her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Florida Atlantic University. Mrs. Culbertson worked until her retirement with the State of Florida as a Social Worker. She was considered a “Foster Care Specialist” because of her passionate work with the foster care system; not only placing children in the proper homes, but her continuous follow-up to ensure their wellbeing. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Strouse; her parents, Charles Thomas Ketsdever and Shirley Ann Wheeler Ketsdever; one sister, Laurie Ketsdever; and one brother, Michael Stephen Ketsdever. She is survived by her husband, John Patrick Culbertson; her foster parents, Jim and Connie Bryant and their daughters, Michele, M’Lisa, Melody and Adalynn; two sisters, Christine Ann Ketsdever Panus and Carrie Louise Ketsdever Paul; one brother, Thomas Alan Ketsdever.
