Mrs. Peggy Perkins Edes, age 69, of Mission, Texas, died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, in The Comfort House at McAllen, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:30 P. M. Tuesday, July 18, 2006, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Norman Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mrs. Edes was born July 3, 1937 in Jackson, Mississippi, to Muriel Kathleen Mansfield Perkins and the late William Luther Perkins. Mrs. Edes enjoyed crocheting, card playing, board games, teaching Sunday School, and traveling - especially trips to New England. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Edward A. Edes of Mission, Texas, her Mother,Muriel Kathleen Mansfield Perkins of Shreveport, LA, three daughters, Pam Monroe and her husband, Pat of Winter Haven, Florida, Debbie Rucker and her husband, Gary, Leland, North Carolina, Sherry Lee and her husband, Adam of Weaver, Alabama, three sons, Jerry Mahieu of Kansas City, Missouri, Jay Mahieu of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Jeffrey Mahieu and his wife Leigh of Jacksonville, Alabama, three stepdaughters, Carol Harrison and her husband, William of Spanish Fort, Alabama, Susan Beck and her husband, Brian of Sacramento, California, and Debra Yokotake and her husband, Miki of South Lake Tahoe, California, one stepson, James M. Edes of Seattle, Washington, one sister, Gail Reed and her husband, Carl of Keithville, LA, and one brother, Norman A. Perkins and his wife, Dawn of Jackson, Mississippi. Seventeen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and five nieces and nephews also survive. Service Information
